From the 1991 Proposed Regs, to the 2016 Final Regs and now the 2023 Proposed Regs, Sec. 987 has come a long way. Join us on April 18th as we discuss the newly-released guidance for Sec. 987. The proposed regulations provide rules on determining income
and currency gain or loss with respect to a Qualified Business Unit (QBU) that uses a functional currency different from its owner. Learn the important conceptual changes, the information required for computing the tax liability under the new rules.
