Alexis Bergman

Alexis is a Partner in the Washington National Tax, International Tax Services practice at Crowe LLP based in the Chicago office. She advises multinational corporations on their most complex business transactions, developing and implementing integrated business tax solutions that enhance operational and tax efficiencies, while complying with the U.S. federal tax laws.

Alexis focuses her practice on U.S. and international aspects of federal tax matters, including international acquisitions, and structuring and implementing transactions that are operationally efficient global structures. She also advises U.S. and foreign-based multinationals on a broad range of international tax matters, including supply chain structuring, IP realignments, business model and operational enhancements, foreign tax credit issues, U.S. income tax treaties, repatriations, and global tax reform.  With over 20 years of experience at both Big Four accounting firms and in the private sector, Alexis brings an unparalleled depth of industry-specific knowledge and experience to address the unique needs of multinationals across various sectors, delivering exceptional and specialized tax advisory services.

Alexis is a C.P.A. licensed in the state of Illinois. She has earned her J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, with most of the LL.M course work completed at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. She has also earned her Certificate in International Tax from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Prior to her advanced education, Alexis earned her M.S.T. from DePaul University and a B.B.A. with a specialization in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago.

Alexis is an Executive Board Member and the Assistant Secretary of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), U.S.A. Branch. and Co-Regional V.P. of the Midwest Region of IFA, U.S.A. Branch. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Illinois CPA Society. To help advance women in the industry, Alexis serves as an IFA WIN Regional Leader. In 2017, Alexis was named a Leading Woman in Tax by the International Tax Review organization.

Ryan Lange

Ryan Lange is a managing director in Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) Chicago Transfer Pricing practice, and advises clients’ senior management on a variety of issues related to transfer pricing, economics and valuation. Specifically, Ryan leverages more than 12 years of experience to provide sound and practical economic advice to companies that range from Fortune 500 to start-up businesses in a broad range of industries, including consumer goods, education, medical products, pharmaceutical, e-commerce, automotive, telecommunications, financial services, real estate, software, energy and industrial goods.

Throughout his career, Ryan has supported and managed large litigation support projects, prepared U.S., OECD and local country transfer pricing documentation, assisted in the design and preparation of economic planning and global policy projects, advised on intellectual property valuation issues and analyzed complex transfer pricing issues in compliance and controversy contexts.

Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Ryan was a Director at Ceteris. Before Ceteris, he began his career in the Business Financial Services division of Merrill Lynch.

Ryan is active in the international tax community and holds a leadership position within the Chicago Tax Club, and has chaired the international tax committee for the past five years. In addition, he has co-authored articles for publications and speaks frequently on transfer pricing topics at conferences both domestically and internationally.

Ryan earned his MBA from DePaul’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. He also holds a BA (summa cum laude) in Finance, Investment and Banking, and a BBA (summa cum laude) in Real Estate and Urban Economics, with a concentration in Risk Management, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
