The webinar will feature a discussion of key aspects of the recently issued foreign tax credit Treasury Regulations, including but not limited to, the creditability of foreign taxes and the allocation and apportionment of foreign taxes. Additionally,
Whirlpool and other significant recent international tax cases will be discussed.
Learning Objective:
- Attendees will learn certain key impacts of the recently issued foreign tax credit Treasury Regulations including the issues presented with the creditability of foreign taxes.
- Attendees will see examples and learn the various rules for allocating and apportioning foreign taxes for foreign tax credit purposes.
- Attendees will learn of the impact of the Whirlpool Tax Court and Sixth Circuit Opinions on the determination of Foreign Base Company Sales Income.
- Attendees will gain an understanding of the legal analysis on contesting the validity of a Treasury Regulation.
