A taxpayer under U.S. international examination by the IRS can expect to be asked to produce its intercompany agreements. It is therefore exceptionally important that taxpayers have a current, clear and concise intercompany agreements that they can readily produce. Join us on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 12-1pm EDT (via Zoom platform) as we review the Coca-Cola Co. v. Comm’r., and the current state of the case. We will then discuss the IRS’s authority to request taxpayer’s intercompany agreements, as well as the need to have agreements that clearly outline the parties’ legal relationships and the pricing of the created intercompany transactions.
By the end of this session, participants will have gained:
- An understanding of the Coca-Cola case.
- An understanding of the government’s very broad power to request a Company’s intercompany agreements.
- In light of the Coca-Cola case and the government’s very broad powers, what taxpayers should doing.
