Our next breakfast meeting will be on Thursday, May 23rd from 8:00.am.-9:15a.m. at Ropes & Gray, LLP, 800 Boylston Street, Prudential Tower, Boston, MA 02199.  You will be able to check in at the security desk in the lobby. Parking is available in the Prudential Center Garage and in the vicinity.

 

At this breakfast meeting, Eric Fort of the Luxembourg law firm, Arendt & Medernach, will present on the recent Danish beneficial ownership cases decided by the EU Court of Justice.  These decisions hold that anti-abuse principles under EU law may be invoked to deny taxpayers the benefit of the Parent Subsidiary Directive and the Directive on Interest and Royalties.  As a result, EU holding company structures and related planning can be affected.
