The next meeting of the Luncheon Series of the International Fiscal Association, USA Branch, Westchester County, NY/Connecticut Region will be Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel, 700 Main Street, Stamford, CT 06901, directions attached.

 

The topic of the meeting will be: “The EU’s Proposed Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base.”  We are fortunate to have as our speaker, Jeffrey M. Trinklein, who is a partner in the London and New York offices of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and serves as Co-Partner-in-Charge of the London office, and Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s Tax Practice Group.  Mr. Trinklein has extensive experience in U.S. and international taxation, with special emphasis on advice to foreign clients with investments in the United States and advice to U.S. clients with foreign operations. Mr. Trinklein is ranked by The Best Lawyers in America©, Chambers Global:  The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Chambers USA:  America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and The Legal 500 United States as a leading tax lawyer.  Chambers USA describes Mr. Trinklein as “a creative and confidence-inspiring practitioner who can effectively communicate tax nuances” and “communicates clearly and is always very responsive and ready to assist, often in a compressed timeframe.”  We will have a good opportunity to test Jeff on these attributes at our meeting. 

 

The cost for attending individual meetings is $50.  At each meeting we have a technical presentation on a tax topic of current interest and review recent events.  A three course lunch will be served.  We urge you to come to every meeting to expand your network and technical expertise.
