A Practical Approach to BEPS Compliance

Monday April 20th, 2015
Golden Gate University, 536 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94105
Registration/Breakfast: 8:30am and Program: 9 am – 12.30 pm

Please join us on April 20th 2015 in San Francisco for a special joint program presented by the International Fiscal Association and the Tax Executives Institute, San Francisco Chapter. The program will provide interpretation of the new BEPS rules and will focus on practical steps to address them.

As background, at the direction of the G20 to “develop rules regarding transfer pricing documentation to enhance transparency for tax administration…,” in September 2014 the OECD issued its revised guidance concerning transfer pricing documentation. Widely expected to be adopted by tax authorities around the world, the guidance sets out a new three tier global standard for transfer pricing documentation, including a common template for country-by-country reporting and blueprints for a global master file and local files for transfer pricing documentation. There are very significant changes to the compliance and reporting of global information for risk assessment and transfer pricing purposes. The new approach will require a substantial change in reporting. Some countries have already adopted certain aspects of OECD’s new guidance and other G20/OECD countries are expected to adopt them effective for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2016. For a U.S.-based multinational, the first reports under the new rules are expected to be required and filed with the IRS no later than 12 months after the end of a multinational’s financial year ending on or after December 31, 2017.

Panelists will discuss the following topics:
