A Unique Opportunity for Art Lovers!
 
Take a trolley to the renowned Barnes Foundation in Merion, Pennsylvania where you will have a guided tour, and then an opportunity to view the works on your own.  The Foundation is home to one of the world's largest collections of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and early Modern paintings, with extensive holdings by Picasso, Matisse, Cézanne, Renoir and Modigliani, as well as important examples of African sculpture.  This is one of the last opportunities to view the exhibit in its historic home, as it moves to Philadelphia next year.  The trolley will pick you up at the hotel at 1:00 pm and will return you to the hotel after the visit to the Barnes, at approximately 5:30 pm.  
Total cost: $60.00 per person

You are, after all, in Philadelphia!
 
Visit the National Constitution Center in historic Philadelphia.  The Center is America's most interactive history museum. Located just two blocks from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, it is the only museum devoted to the U.S. Constitution and the story of we, the people.  During our visit, we will take an audio tour of a special exhibit "Ancient Rome and America," a 6,000 square foot exhibition that will feature over 300 artifacts from Rome's Republican and Imperial periods. The special exhibition will focus on the central themes America's founding fathers learned from the Roman Republic and the continuing influence of ancient Rome on America today. (self-guided tour).

Following the visit to the National Constitution Center, the group will have lunch at the City Tavern, one of the oldest continuously working taverns in the America.  At City Tavern you will experience 18th Century American culinary history in an award-winning setting.  Transportation will be provided to all events and back to the hotel. The trolley will leave the hotel for the Constitution Center around 9:00 am and is anticipated to return after lunch around 2:30 pm.
Total cost: $125 per person.
